My name is Zhuang Qingsong. I am the General Manager of Fuzhou Shenghang Huixin Trading Co., Ltd., and also the founder of Gudizunxuan Scotch Whisky.
Having spent a full twenty years in the UK, I have long been based in the heart of Scotland’s whisky-producing regions. I have a thorough understanding of the terroir, distilling techniques, the quality of the raw spirit and industry standards. I am deeply familiar with the rich essence of Scotch whisky and have conducted in-depth research into the formulation logic and flavour standards of major international whisky brands. Witnessing the difficulty domestic consumers face in accessing truly authentic Scotch whisky, I founded Drum & Pipe Select driven by passion and a sense of mission.
Gudi Zunxuan is a wholly-owned, original brand created by our company. It holds legitimate rights to both Chinese and English registered trademarks. We manage the entire process in-house, sourcing our own brand and first-hand spirits, and operating a fully self-managed supply chain. We are dedicated to bringing authentic, unadulterated Scotch whisky back to the tables of the Chinese people, and to building a mid-to-high-end whisky brand that rivals international giants.
The brand name, ‘Gudi Zunxuan’, embodies my original vision and approach to this venture:
‘Gu’ (Drum) represents confidence and steadfastness—the expertise and conviction honed through twenty years of deep engagement overseas. Our whisky is crafted with a steady, powerful hand, never hasty;
‘Di’ (笛) represents purity and smoothness, symbolising Scotland’s unique, pristine water sources and the mellow, delicate flavour of sherry cask maturation, perfectly suited to Eastern palates;
‘Zun’ stands for respect and rigour: respect for the centuries-old traditions of Scotch whisky, for local regulations, and for the trust placed in us by every consumer;
‘Xuan’ stands for meticulous selection and craftsmanship: from the selection of the base spirit and barrel maturation to the blending of the final flavour profile, every step is personally overseen to ensure the delivery of a truly high-quality whisky.
Each of our Drum & Pipe Premium Blended Whiskies is meticulously crafted to match the recipes of leading international whisky brands, upholding their classic distilling principles and exacting flavour standards. I personally select the base spirits in Scotland, collaborating with seasoned local master blenders to uphold century-old blending traditions. We meticulously craft our blends using a high proportion of aged spirits, unconstrained by age statements, and strive solely to achieve a rich mouthfeel and superior flavour profile on par with the leading brands. Rejecting the rush for quick results and embracing the patience of time, we refine our blends through repeated trials to create a spirit that better suits Eastern drinking preferences. At the same time, we strictly adhere to Scottish whisky regulations, upholding the minimum three-year maturation standard and never compromising on quality.
The spirit is crafted from premium single malts and single grain whiskies sourced from Scotland’s finest distilleries. Through precise blending and maturation in Speyside sherry casks, it achieves a warm, smooth and multi-layered palate, with a flavour profile that rivals that of leading international whisky brands. The brand insists on importing the whisky directly from Scotland in its original bottles, with statutory labels such as ‘Scotch’ and ‘Scotland’ clearly marked on the bottle. The entire process, from distillation and maturation to bottling, is completed in Scotland. There is no secondary blending or adulteration; quality is strictly controlled from the source, upholding craftsmanship and integrity.

With its own registered trademark and intellectual property rights, it is a fully independent and self-managed original whisky brand.
