GUDI SELECT Blended whisky

GUDI SELECT Blended Whisky is a mid‑to‑high‑end approachable‑grade Scottish whisky. Fully compliant with Scottish whisky‑making legislation, it is jointly cask‑selected by the founder and Douglas‑Laing, a well‑established family‑owned independent bottler. Leveraging Douglas‑Laing’s profound industry insights and cask‑selection expertise, the two parties have co‑developed an exclusive custom‑blending formula.

This recipe features a deliberately elevated malt content, far higher than that of ordinary commercially‑available blended whiskies. Carefully‑sourced premium Scottish single‑malt and grain‑whisky spirits are expertly blended by master blenders, balancing the rich fullness of malt with the soft gentleness of grain. The spirit first undergoes long‑term maturation in oak casks to establish a smooth‑bodied foundation, followed by one‑year secondary maturation in sherry casks. It unfolds honey, toasted‑malt, fig and raisin confit fruit aromas, intertwined with vanilla and subtle oak notes for reduced sharpness.

Smooth and mellow on the palate, it delivers sweet honey and roasted‑malt flavours, complemented by sherry‑infused preserved‑fruit and citrus hints. The grain‑derived body is velvety, with virtually no harsh alcoholic bite. The finish carries gentle nutty and caramel warmth, leaving a clean, long‑lasting aftertaste.

Free from rigid age‑statement limitations, priority is given to flavour complexity and drinking experience, delivering a well‑rounded, refined overall taste. It can be enjoyed neat to appreciate layered nuances or with ice. Perfect for casual gatherings, daily sipping and food‑pairing occasions. Balancing professional craftsmanship and broad‑market drinkability, it is the ideal premium‑grade everyday whisky.
